Their Challenge
The PTMA project needed a digital solution to address the anxiety and logistical challenges faced by international trainees moving across countries for VET programs, particularly in light of the challenges created by COVID-19. The core challenge was creating an intuitive mobile application that could handle complex, personalized data and provide critical support in multiple languages, ensuring user engagement and safety.
- Universal Multilingual Accessibility: The app required flawless functionality and design across 8 distinct European languages, notably French, Icelandic, Latvian, and German. This meant the technical architecture had to be robust enough to handle data structure and layout across various text lengths and character sets.
- Managing Complex Mobility Scenarios: The app needed to organize and present hundreds of potential encountered problems across eight predefined categories, notably Transport, Health, and Administration. This allowed trainees to customize and organize potential solutions before they even departed.
- High-Performance Data Integration: The mobile app required secure, dynamic communication with a centralized back-office to query and display scenarios in real-time. The system had to balance high data loads while handling secure user registrations and sensitive work placement data collection.
- Safety Compliance and Incident Reporting: The design needed to facilitate crucial daily reporting functions, allowing trainees to log problems via text or voice. It required that all work placement information be completed as a prerequisite before accessing the problem-sharing features.

Multilingual Design Architecture (8 Languages)
The robust design system accommodated 8 languages, including responsive layouts and country flag integration. This technical foundation ensures the interface is navigable and maintains integrity regardless of the language selected.
Proactive Scenario Customization
The app was structured around pre-emptive preparation, allowing trainees to browse and save potential responses to problems. This creates a personalized mobility handbook tailored to their destination and duration.
Secure Data Protocols for Safety
The user flow mandates safety-critical steps, requiring trainees to complete the work placement registration before accessing support features. This ensures essential contact details are always available to partners.
Critical Support and Reporting Features
Key screens were designed for real-time communication and documentation. The interface pre-fills organization contact details and provides a straightforward daily reporting system for sending text or voice messages.
Our engagement is defined by long-term accompaniment which also ensured the successful delivery of this international project. Following the successful completion in 2025, the application was officially launched on the Apple Store and Google Play Store. The technical foundation is built for continuous use, ensuring seamless integration of new scenarios, additional languages, and further advanced features as the project’s global reach expands for better results.
