People & Operations Lead

Overview

As the People & Operations Lead at MetaBox, you will play a key role in leading and driving efficiency in the operations, administration, and people management aspects of the company.

For this role, you will need to act as a leader in identifying problems and coming up with strategies to ensure a productive work environment, streamline administrative processes, and boost operational efficiency while also acting as a manager to ensure strategies are being implemented, policies are being upheld, and intended goals are being met. You will also need to manage initial client communications, directing inquiries to the appropriate team.

This role requires a proactive leader with business acumen while exhibiting great organizational, people management, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

People Management:

  • Develop and implement hiring strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Oversee employee performance management, professional development and discipline.
  • Manage and process leave requests, ensuring proper tracking and compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee employee records, payroll processing and employee claims and benefits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Operations & Administrative Management:

  • Ensure smooth business operations by managing client, internal and external teams relations, office logistics, and internal workflows.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies, workflow bottlenecks, and process gaps, then implement solutions to improve productivity and reduce friction across departments.
  • Identify and implement new technologies that can optimize people management, business or office operations.
  • Manage company subscriptions, licenses, contract renewals, and compliance-related documentation.
  • Track and process minor company expenses while supporting financial administration.
  • Act as the first point of contact for client inquiries and directing them to the appropriate teams if necessary.
  • Handle administrative client communications, including contract and subscription renewals, payment follow-ups, and document requests.
  • Conduct administrative procedures outside the office, such as handling official documents, registrations, and liaising with authorities, banks, and other external agencies.
  • Oversee the maintenance and organization of the office to ensure a productive work environment.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and facility needs, ensuring everything is well-stocked and functional.
  • Continuously refine and improve internal operational processes for efficiency.
